DOUG BUMSTEAD

PARTNER* | CFP, CLU, CHFC

Doug is currently celebrating over 40 years in the financial services business. Doug is a lifetime qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table. He has achieved the Chartered Financial Consultant (CHFC), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) accreditations. Doug developed the Virtual Benefits Model as a self-insured Health and Dental Plan.

He specializes in planning all aspects of your financial matters, including savings accumulation, retirement, estate, corporate structure, and business succession planning.

Group Benefits Specialist

JUSTIN BUMSTEAD

PARTNER | PRESIDENT

Justin specializes in our Virtual Benefits Program. He has been with Bumstead Insurance since 2004. Justin has helped Bumstead Insurance achieve Chairman's Club 2018-current, Platinum Club 2008-2017 Gold 2006, 2007.

He enjoys working with businesses to help provide a cost-effective approach to Group Benefit plans.

TARYN BUMSTEAD KING

PARTNER* | CFP, CLU

Taryn joined Bumstead Financial Services Inc. in 2012 after graduating from the Business Administration Financial Planning program offered through Conestoga College. Through this program, she completed her Canadian Securities Course, as well as her Life License Qualification Program. Outside of school, she has attained her Provincial Life License and her Certified Financial Planner accreditation.

Outside of work, Taryn enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also has a passion for fitness and traveling.

Office Manager

JESSICA BIRCH

Jessica came to Bumstead Financial in 2017 as Doug's executive assistant. She graduated from the University of Guelph with a B. A in Sociology, and has acquired both her life license and mutual funds license since. Jessica comes from a banking background but discovered she enjoyed a more administrative approach to selling.

Jessica spends much of her free time with her family and enjoys activities such as teaching her son new things and cooking.

KRYSTAL OLENDER

Krystal is currently completing the Business Administration-Accounting program through Algonquin College. She lives in Saugeen Shores and sits on Northport School Community Council and Fundraising sub-committee.

Krystal likes to spend her free time outdoors with her husband and three children, experiencing all Grey & Bruce counties have to offer

Administrative Assistant

LOGAN VERMILYEA

Logan is excited to be starting her career in the finance and insurance field at Bumstead. She is currently completing the Canadian Securities Course and plans to continue taking on learning opportunities that complement her work.

Outside of the office, Logan enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She is interested in various activities such as hiking, camping, and having campfires. As well Logan plays on soccer, slo-pitch, and ringette teams all based in Owen Sound.

Group Benefits Support Specialist

AYLA KINCHEN

Ayla has had an administrative background for more than ten years. Currently training to specialize in Group Benefits, she is eager to support local businesses and their employees.

After returning to Grey County where she was raised, Ayla joined the local art and fine craft scene as a potter. She spends a great deal of her spare time out of doors with her family.

Our team strongly believes in being devoted to all of our relationships, making sure you and all of your family are looked after when it matters most.

COMMUNITY INITIATIVE

Bumstead Insurance & Financial partners with many charitable organizations and causes as part of our community service initiative. Our associates participate in fundraising and awareness events, benefiting those in need.

On Wednesday, October 30th, prior to the Owen Sound Attack taking on the Flint Firebirds, Bumstead Insurance & Financial presented

Mark Woolley with an incredible $9000 donation in support of Woolley’s Warriors. President of Bumstead Insurance & Financial, Justin Bumstead, connected with WW28 shortly after the launch of the organization in August eagerly wanting to support the cause with an offer to use the annual Client Appreciation event as a way to raise funds for both Woolley’s Warriors and The Clare “Flea” and Marj Christie Fund.

Through this event, celebrating Bumstead’s 40th anniversary on October 11th, Bumstead Insurance & Financial raised $9,000 for Woolley’s Warriors.

Mark Woolley and WW28 could not be more grateful for the amazing support and generosity displayed by the whole team at Bumstead Insurance & Financial, helping us achieve our goal of sending young athletes to Diabetes Canada’s D-Camps this summer! This goal is now a huge reality and it is in large thanks to the Bumstead team!
